Rockcastle County is home of the Kentucky Food Truck State Championship, Bittersweet Festival, Appalachian Harvest Festival, Kentucky Blues Music Festival, Noel Night Market, and more!
The Official Kentucky Food Truck State Championship began in 2021 and is held yearly on the Second Saturday in September in Renfro Valley, Kentucky. Attendees are allowed to get food from any of the food trucks – please note that more popular trucks will have a longer line. Along with the food trucks, attendees can enjoy the craft vendor area, kid's activity area, live music, and VIP lounge area. Food Trucks compete for the Grand Prize of $5,000 and title of Kentucky Food Truck State Champion!

KY Blues Music Festival
Each June, the Kentucky Music Hall of Fame and Museum hosts the annual Kentucky Blues Music Festival. This free festival is held in the amphitheater behind the Hall of Fame. Make plans to attend in 2025 on June 7th featuring Hall of Fame Inductee, Tee Dee Young and more.

Appalachian Harvest Festival Antique Tractor Show
Join the South East Kentucky Antique Tractor Association for their annual Appalachian Harvest Festival. It is held the first Friday-Saturday in October at the Brodhead Fairgrounds. For more information: 606-875-2421.
Bittersweet Festival
The City of Mount Vernon hosts the annual Bittersweet Festival the first weekend in October. Live music, craft vendors, family activities, and a parade are part of the festivities.

Noel Night Market & Christmas Parade
Rockcastle Arts Association and the City of Mount Vernon team up each year for the Noel Night Market and Christmas Parade. The event is held the first Saturday in December from 4PM to 9PM along Main Street. It is free to attend.
