KY Blues Music Festival
Each June, the Kentucky Music Hall of Fame and Museum hosts the annual Kentucky Blues Music Festival. This free festival is held in the amphitheater behind the Hall of Fame. Make plans to attend in June 6, 2026 featuring Hall of Fame Inductee, Tee Dee Young, Nat Myers, and Donovan Howard Trio.

Rocktember Blast
Join us on July 4, 2026 for the America 250 Celebration with Parade along Main Street in downtown Mt Vernon, as well as fireworks at the Industrial Park, located off US-150. More details coming soon.
KY Food Truck Championship
The Official Kentucky Food Truck State Championship began in 2021 and is held yearly on the Second Saturday in September in Mt. Vernon, Kentucky. Attendees are allowed to get food from any of the food trucks – please note that more popular trucks will have a longer line. Along with the food trucks, attendees can enjoy the craft vendor area, kid's activity area, and more. Food Trucks compete for the Grand Prize and title of Kentucky Food Truck State Champion!

Bittersweet Festival
The City of Mount Vernon hosts the annual Bittersweet Festival the first weekend in October. Live music, craft vendors, family activities, and a parade are part of the festivities.

Noel Night Market & Christmas Parade
Rockcastle Arts Association and the City of Mount Vernon team up each year for the Noel Night Market and Christmas Parade. The event is held the first Saturday in December from 4PM to 9PM along Main Street. It is free to attend.
