Red Bud Health Walk

Come join in the fun and get in shape with free prizes and a box lunch to the first 400 walkers. All ages welcome with regular (approx. 2.5 miles) and handicapped/stroller routes (approx. 1.5 miles) available. Starts and ends at the Aunt Polly House/John Lair House from 11 am to 1 pm RAIN OR SHINE. Parking is available at the Kentucky Music Hall of Fame and Renfro Valley Entertainment Center.  Live music (weather permitting) Sponsored by The Mt. Rockcastle River Trading Company Spring Open House

Saltpetre Cave Open House

May 9 & 10

Great Saltpetre Cave was a significant source of saltpetre during the War of 1812, and is now listed in the National Register of Historic Places.  Guided tours of the cave, free soup beans and corn bread and miles of hiking trails. Admission is free, but donations are always appreciated.Saturday10:00am to 5:00pm and Sunday 10:00am to 4:00pm. There will also be a presentation of a dedication plaque on Saturday at 10:30am.I-75, exit 59. East on HWY 25, turn left onto 1004, continue on 1004 until it comes to a “T” (at tracks). Turn right and continue to Great Saltpetre Cave Preserve. 9 miles from I-75. GSP is owned by Rockcastle Karst Conservancy, a 501(c)(3) non-profit, local volunteer organization dedicated to dedicated to preserving the unique geological, hydrological, biological, archeological, historical and recreational resources associated with caves and karst lands. RKC’s goal is to permanently protect caves and karst lands in Rockcastle County, Kentucky and its surrounding region through land acquisition, ownership and resource management. US 25 Yard Sale

Set up a booth along US 25 in Rockcastle County and be a part of the fun.

This 3rd year event is 425+ miles long-the 6th longest in America! Must have access to off road parking. Permission to set up on private or public property is the responsibility of the yard sale participant, and must be obtained prior to the event.

Jingle Bell 6K Run-Walk

Lace up your sneakers and grab your Santa hats for the 11th annual Jingle Bell 6K Run/Walk. Join us for good exercise and great fun in historic Renfro Valley. All proceeds from the event benefit the Miracle Fund which provides assistance to improve the quality of life of long-term care residents.
